US - SUPPORT ENGINEER As BigHand continues to grow and evolve internationally, we are seeking a talented IT professional to join the young dynamic global support team. This is an exciting time and a great opportunity for a talented IT professional to join BigHand. The candidate will be the first global support member to be located within the US, they will be supported by two experienced support engineers and work closely with the UK and Australia teams.
The candidate will be based out of the Chicago office, reporting into the global support manager located in the UK and will form part of the global support team. The Global Support Team are geographically located in the US, UK and Australia providing technical support globally to our customers, clients, partners and resellers, and although the candidate will be located in the Chicago office they will work closely with all team members sharing work load and supporting across the global.
Some domestic travel will be required from time to time to visit client sites; in addition to this the successful candidate will from time to time be required to travel internationally to the UK head office, for training, cross skilling etc.

In order to be successful in this role the candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:
Essential
* Excellent knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server
* MCSE/MCSA, MCDBA or CCNA, SQL
* In-depth SQL Server knowledge
* Microsoft Exchange Server
* Active Directory
* Strong network troubleshooting skills (e.g. DNS and VPN problem diagnostics)
* Knowledge of Terminal Services or Citrix
Desirable
* MS Office
* Experience of remote access methods for providing remote support
* Experience of supporting Windows Mobiles & PDA’s
* BlackBerry Enterprise Server
* Knowledge of software imaging technologies
* Knowledge of software deployment techniques
* Knowledge of IIS
